Las Amigas de Las Lomas (Las Amigas) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to supporting the Orthopaedic Institute for Children (OIC). Las Amigas has a subset youth organization known as Los Amigos. We cater to families with sons, daughters, or both, wanting an auxiliary that is dedicated to character building, charity and community. To date, Las Amigas and Los Amigos have proudly raised over $1,000,000 for OIC from their collective efforts. We are based in the South Bay area of Los Angeles.

Participation
Members of Las Amigas participate through meeting attendance, participation in events, and assisting with and contributing to our annual fundraiser to support OIC. Sons and daughters of Las Amigas are invited to join Los Amigos. Los Amigos attend regular meetings, volunteer hours (on the OIC campus and in the community), and participate in fund raising activities. Meetings focus on developing skill sets with time for socializing and fun. Members also participate on committee(s) to assist with our annual fundraiser. Volunteer hours can be completed in a variety of ways from volunteering on site at OIC to participating in OIC orchestrated events and local community outreach. Los Amigos provides the children of Las Amigas members with character building opportunities by volunteering at OIC, connecting to the real world through community activities, and learning to work as a team on philanthropic projects. Why We Support OIC Since 1957, Las Amigas has exclusively supported OIC, raising funds, donating time and building awareness for the hospital’s mission: provide exemplary care for its patients with a promise to never turn a patient away regardless of their ability to pay.
